National & international safety advisory for executive-protection clients. All items current as of 08 Jul 2026 unless noted.

Level 4 / Level 3 · Regional

1.Middle East · Fragile Iran–Israel de-escalation, Worldwide Caution in effect

Following the 2026 Iran war, a 17 June interim US–Iran agreement moved the region into a fragile de-escalation phase, but the parties have since exchanged limited strikes and the status of talks is unclear. DOS maintains a Worldwide Caution, warning that Iran-aligned groups may target US interests and Americans globally, including outside the Middle East. U.S. Embassy Jerusalem has issued repeated security alerts. Regional airspace and flight schedules remain subject to abrupt closure.

KRDL Recommendation: Treat all regional travel as by-exception only and route approval through the GSOC. Maintain 24/7 check-ins, pre-position evacuation contingencies and confirm commercial-air alternates daily. Keep a low profile; avoid US-branded venues and government facilities.

Major Event

2.Türkiye · NATO Summit locks down Ankara (07–08 Jul)

The 36th NATO summit is underway at the Beştepe Presidential Complex, Ankara, 07–08 July. Authorities have imposed checkpoints, road closures around the venue and airports, and a public-demonstration ban running 28 Jun–10 Jul. U.S. Embassy Ankara has suspended routine services through 10 July.

KRDL Recommendation: Build 60–90 minutes of buffer for all Ankara ground movements and pre-clear routes with drivers via the GSOC. Avoid the venue perimeter and any protest attempts, which are now unlawful and subject to detention. Carry documentation and expect ID checks.

Level 2 · Severe Weather

3.Guam / N. Mariana Islands · Super Typhoon Bavi; track toward Taiwan/China

Category-5 Super Typhoon Bavi struck Guam and the Northern Mariana Islands (Rota, Tinian, Saipan) on 06 July with winds near 180 mph, causing widespread power outages and damage. Air links are heavily disrupted and Pacific routes have few alternates. Forecast track carries Bavi toward Taiwan and/or China on 10–11 July.

KRDL Recommendation: Suspend non-essential travel to affected islands and the Taiwan/China coastal corridor through 12 July. Confirm principals' shelter-in-place plans and reconfirm all onward flights via the GSOC before departure.

Level 2 · Domestic Unrest

4.United States · Immigration-enforcement protests continue nationwide

Anti-deportation demonstrations persist across multiple U.S. cities. On 08 July an ICE vehicle struck protesters in downtown San Francisco, injuring at least one. Events are fluid and can escalate with little notice.

KRDL Recommendation: Avoid all demonstrations and federal-facility perimeters; do not transit or film crowds. Vary routes and timing around known protest corridors and pre-identify safe havens. Report principal movements to the GSOC for real-time re-routing.

Level 3 · Reconsider Travel

5.Trinidad & Tobago · Level 3 amid State of Emergency

DOS reissued Trinidad & Tobago at Level 3 on 13 April 2026; a nationwide State of Emergency declared in March remains a backdrop to a spike in violent crime, including gang shootings and kidnappings.

KRDL Recommendation: Use vetted secure transport airport-to-venue; no walk-up transport or unplanned stops. Restrict movement to daylight, keep itineraries confidential, maintain GSOC check-ins at each leg.

Level 3 · Reconsider Travel

6.Cyprus · Level 3 following regional hostilities

Cyprus was raised to Level 3 on 03 March 2026 amid spillover risk from regional hostilities; the U.S. authorized the departure of diplomatic family members.

KRDL Recommendation: Confirm status with the GSOC before travel and register principals in DOS STEP. Maintain evacuation contingencies and a PACE comms plan; avoid military sites and demonstrations.

Level 2 · Natural Hazard

7.Spain · Wildfires across the north

Significant wildfires continue across northern Spain, with more than 123,000 acres burned nationwide and authorities warning of elevated risk of new outbreaks through July. Road closures, smoke and air-quality impacts may disrupt regional movement.

KRDL Recommendation: Monitor regional fire and road-closure bulletins; build alternate routes for cross-country ground movement. Keep principals with respiratory sensitivities indoors during smoke events.

Level 2 · Disruption

8.United Kingdom · Aberdeen Airport security strike (06 Jul–01 Aug)

Security workers at Aberdeen International Airport are striking 06 July–01 August over failed pay talks, with delays expected to screening, baggage and passenger processing.

KRDL Recommendation: Add substantial time buffers or route principals via alternate Scottish airports. Pre-book fast-track where available and coordinate revised timings through the GSOC.

Level 2 · Disruption

9.Uruguay · 24-hour public-sector strike, Montevideo (08 Jul)

A public-sector union coalition has called a 24-hour strike and protest in Montevideo beginning 08 July at 09:00, which may affect state services and generate marches in the city center.

KRDL Recommendation: Expect service and transport disruption; avoid central gathering points and government buildings. Confirm driver availability early and keep the GSOC updated on movement changes.
